Talyllyn carriages No.1 and No.2 were built by Brown, Marshalls & Co of Birmingham, England, in 1866 and 1867. Both were constructed with an open interior and compartmentalized seating for each door. Carriage No.4 was delivered in 1867 by the Lancaster Wagon Co. and featured a more cost-effective design than its predecessors.
